We propose a new conceptual electromechanical model of a three-phase generator supplying a balanced resistance–inductance series load. An expression is obtained for the magnitude of the generator’s prime mover torque, ensuring maintenance of a normal operation mode with a given generator’s rotor speed for a given load. We show the coexistence of operation modes (normal and abnormal) with different constant rotor speeds and analyze their stability. We find the maximum efficiency conditions in the normal mode and obtain the optimal operating parameters of the generator–load system.
