Abstract
The renormalization group procedure for effective particles (RGPEP) in the front form of Hamiltonian dynamics in quantum field theory, such as QCD, is reviewed beginning with the RGPEP principles, proceeding to the description of its key features in terms of simple models, discussing applications to bound states of heavy quarks, and concluding with an outlook on the issue of employing the RGPEP to establish a computable connection between the parton model and constituent quark picture of hadrons using QCD.
