Abstract
We present a comprehensive calculation of the ionization energy loss for relativistic neutral particles carrying electric dipole moments (EDMs). We derive the stopping power formula explicitly for the aligned configuration and discuss how general dipole orientation modifies the result using known differential cross-section structure. Our results show that the energy loss scales differently from charged particles due to the
dipole field behavior, yielding no logarithmic enhancement. For a
heavy neutrino with an EDM of
, we predict ionization signals of order
, for
, approximately
that of a minimally ionizing charged particle.
