EPJ ST Special Issue: Advancements in Material Synthesis, Fabrication, Device Physics, and Stability Improvement for Emerging Perovskite-based Optoelectronics

Scope:
In recent years, perovskite-based optoelectronics have emerged as a promising technology for next-generation solar cells, LEDs, and photodetectors. The excellent properties of perovskite materials, such as high absorption coefficient, long carrier diffusion length, tunable bandgap, and low-cost production, have sparked immense interest in this field.

The synthesis of perovskite materials with high-quality morphology, interface engineering as well as the encapsulation are essential for achieving efficient and stable optoelectronic devices. Nowadays, one of the major challenges in perovskite-based optoelectronics is their poor stability under ambient conditions, especially in the presence of moisture and oxygen. Therefore, establishment of multiphysics model with consideration of charge transport, recombination mechanisms, and energy level alignment will be crucial to understand the device physics and efficiency degradation of perovskite-based optoelectronics.

This special issue aims to explore the latest advancements in perovskite-based optoelectronics. We invite researchers and experts in the field to contribute their original and innovative research papers, reviews, and perspectives on the following topics:

  • Synthesis of perovskite materials
  • Interface engineering
  • Encapsulation of perovskite device
  • Innovative fabrication techniques of perovskite
  • Perovskite device physics
  • Stability improvement strategies for optoelectronics

Submission deadline: 30 November 2024

Articles should be submitted to the Editorial Office of EPJ ST via the submission system, and should be clearly identified as intended for the topical issue “Advancements in Material Synthesis, Fabrication, Device Physics, and Stability Improvement for Emerging Perovskite-based Optoelectronics”.
