Recombination of an atomic system with a short-range potential in the presence of ultra-strong attosecond laser pulses
Ab initio numerical simulations in one and two dimensions

The dynamics of laser-induced recombination by attosecond pulses has been numerically investigated in two spatial dimensions for a system with a short-range binding potential. A comparison with analogous one-dimensional simulations reveals that in the former case the phenomenon of a non-monotonic field dependence is probably absent.
