The production of Radioactive Ion Beams (RIBs) at intermediate energy by the In-Flight method (Projectile Fragmentation) and their transport along the beam lines were successfully achieved at the Laboratori Nazionali del Sud-Catania. In particular the yield of the fragmentation products of 12C, 20Ne, 40Ar, 58Ni projectiles at incident energies in the range 40 to 62 AMeV was studied. RIBs rates up to 105 ions/sec were estimated for a primary beam current of 500 enA. The ΔE-ToF identification method was applied to “tag" event-by-event the RIBs selected by the LNS Fragment Separator among the fragmentation products of the primary projectile. The feasibility of different contemporaneous measurements with “tagged" RIBs, was proved by the results of two explorative experiments.
