Excess molar isothermal compressibilities and internal pressures for 1-butanol + 1,3-butanediol at the temperature 298.15 K were estimated basing on an acoustic method. The results are expressed by Redlich-Kister polynomials and discussed in terms of intermolecular interactions. The estimation by neglecting the excess isobaric expansibility, often used in practice, is discussed too.
