Physics and Astrophysics with low background scintillators

Abstract

The development and use of low background scintillators offers powerful tools for the investigation of rare phenomena in Physics and Astrophysics. Here main activities and results obtained by means of the DAMA low background set-ups are summarized. Some future perspectives are also mentioned.
