Determination of large deviation statistical structure functions

Recently, a new expansion method to obtain large deviation statistical characteristic functions in chaotic dynamics is proposed. This method extends the Mori's original projection operator approach in a more tractable way and can be used to associate the large deviation statistical characteristic functions with static quantities. Applying this method to simple chaotic systems, we prove the usefulness of the present approach.
