A stack of 120Sn foil targets was irradiated with an 18 MeV proton beam provided by IBA Cyclone18/18 located in Yerevan, Armenia. The stack consisted of ten tin foils. We placed copper monitor foils (natCu) in front of the stack and between all 120Sn foils to experimentally evaluate the energy and proton fluxes in different monitor targets. To calculate the energy losses of protons passing through the stack of foils, the SRIM/TRIM and PHITS codes were used. The experimentally measured energy values were compared with the data obtained using the aforementioned codes. The cross sections for the nuclear reactions 120Sn(p,n)120mSb and 120Sn(p,α)117m,gIn were measured and compared with previously published experimental values, as well as with data from the TENDL-2021, TENDL-2023, and JENDL-5 databases.
