EPJ Web of Conferences Highlight – 11th EPS-QEOD Europhoton Conference on Solid-State, Fibre, and Waveguide Coherent Light Sources (EUROPHOTON 2024)

11th EPS-QEOD EUROPHOTON Conference, August 25-30, 2024, Vilnius, Lithuania.

The 11th EPS-QEOD Europhoton Conference took place in Vilnius, Lithuania, from August 25 to August 30, 2024.

Since its inception, the EPS-QEOD Europhoton Conference has become a pivotal event, showcasing the latest advancements in solid-state lasers, fiber and waveguide light sources. This 11th edition brought together leading experts, students, and industry professionals from around the world.

Sixteen industry representatives contributed to the dynamic atmosphere, hosting stands that enabled technical dialogue between scientists and suppliers, bridging applied and fundamental research in laser sources. These industry exhibitors provided a unique window into translation of cutting-edge technological innovations into the marketplace.

During the conference, renowned researchers delivered keynote presentations on the field's latest scientific advancements. Kick-starting the conference was a Summer School conceived for PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, incorporating informal breakout sessions for in-depth discussion, promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration.

The 12th EPS-QEOD Europhoton Conference will continue this legacy from September 20 to September 25, 2026, set against the scenic Atlantic coastline of Arcachon, France. This distinguished event will once again bring together the global scientific community to explore and push the boundaries of photonic science and technology.
